And what does it taste like? We have all the answers here! The beef comes from cattle that have been raised for meat production on large farms called feedlots. Beef comprises two types of muscle tissue: slow-twitch and fast-twitch muscles. Slow-twitch muscles are used for activities that require endurance, such as long-distance running or marathon training. How To Grill The Perfect Steak

The answer is simple when you know the right steps. Here are some of our favorite ways to cook steak on the grill:

  • Place your top round steaks in a sealable bag, add some salt and pepper, place them in the refrigerator for an hour or two before grilling.
  • Brush your grill with vegetable oil before cooking.
  • Cook your steak on each side for about 4-5 minutes (depending on how thick it is) and then let it sit for 10 minutes before cutting into it.
  • Use the “quick sear” method if you want that perfect crust outside your steak without overcooking the inside. You will grill each side for 1-2 minutes and then finish with a final sear in a preheated oven for 5-6 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. How To Grill Top Round Steaks?

How To Make Your Steak Juicy And Flavorful

The key to making your steak juicy and flavorful is to sear the outside of the meat. If you don’t, all of that delicious flavor will never make it inside your steak.

Preheat your grill for at least 5 minutes on the highest setting to sear your steak. Once it’s hot, use tongs to place the steak directly onto the grill for 5 to 10 seconds on each side. Flip it over again, then let it cook for an additional 3-5 minutes (depending on thickness).

You can also brush your steak with oil before placing it on the grill if you want. This will help seal in flavors and create a nice crusty exterior.

Alternatively, if you’re grilling in an oven, sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the steak before putting it into a cast-iron skillet (or any other heavy pan). Sear both sides of the steak until they’re golden brown. Now transfer the skillet into a preheated oven set at 425 degrees Fahrenheit or whatever temperature is listed in your recipe. Cook for three minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached!

  • Make certain that your steak has thoroughly thawed.
  • Allow the meat to come to room temperature. 30-40 minutes before cooking, remove your steak from the refrigerator.
  • Season steaks to taste with Kansas City Steak Original Steak Seasoning.
  • To cook steaks on a charcoal grill, set them over the hottest portion of the grill and sear them on both sides for 1-2 minutes. Then, switch to medium, ash-covered coals and cook for the periods indicated in the chart below. 1 minute before the halfway mark, turn right.
  • Preheat a gas grill to high heat before cooking. Sear both sides for 1-2 minutes, then lower to medium heat and grill for the periods indicated in the chart below. 1 minute before the halfway mark, turn right.
  • Grill for 10-13 minutes for a 1 1/2-inch steak and 14-17 minutes for a 12-inch steak, flipping about 1 minute before the halfway mark. The temperature of the meat should be 130°F on a meat thermometer.
  • Rest your steaks for 5 minutes before serving, loosely covered with foil. During this period, the temperature of the meat will continue to rise by roughly 5°F (this is called “carryover cooking”). The ultimate temperature will be 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Resting steak is particularly vital because the heat of cooking draws the liquids in the meat to the surface; if you slice into it right away, those tasty juices will end up on your plate rather than in your steak.
