So today, we are going to shed some light on how you can make a juice, tender patty at home, how long you will have to cook patties in the air fryer and how you can freeze them to overcome your instant burger cravings.

How to Make a Burger Patty?

Well, there are different types of patties in the market. It can be made from ground meat or zinger patties where you give a thick, crispy coat to a piece of chicken. We are going to share with you an instant patty made with ground chicken; so gear up.

Ingredients

  • Grounded chicken ½ kg
  • Salt as per liking
  • Any favorite seasoning Cajun, garlic and herbs, cayenne, etc.
  • Paprika 1 tsp.
  • Pepper ½ tsp.
  • Chili flakes 1tsp
  • Garlic crushed two cloves
  • Mustard paste ½ tsp.
  • Chilli sauce ½ tsp.
  • Wooster sauce 1 tsp.

Ingredients for Coating

  • Breadcrumbs
  • Eggs mixture

Coleslaw Ingredients

A burger is incomplete without coleslaw. Even if you don’t want to eat the patty sandwiched between the burger buns, coleslaw is still the best combination to eat patty with. Please note the ingredients.

  • Cabbage finely chopped
  • Pepper
  • Mayo
  • Salt
  • Tomatoes finely chopped

Making

Let’s start making the party. Put the grounded chicken in a bowl. Add the ingredients mentioned above and give the whole mixture a perfect mix. Once done, leave it to rest for a couple of minutes. Oil your hands and start making patties. Keep them concave in shape. Don’t make the patty too thick or thin; keep the thickness to a moderate level.

Once you’re done with the parties.

The next step is coating. In a bowl, take breadcrumbs. Put the eggs in another bowl and add a pinch of pepper so that the egg won’t taste plain. Now dip the patty in egg, then coat with crumbs. Do this process twice with patty and let them rest.

Why does the Size of the Patty Matter Anyway?

The size of the patties affects the cooking time and quality of the patty. It will collapse during cooking if it is too thin, and you can’t call some scattered piece of chicken mince a patty. On the other hand, if you keep the size thick, it will take more time to cook, and still, you won’t get a fully cooked, tender, and juicy patty because the center of the patty remains uncooked because of thickness, and you are not going to like it.

Assembling

Time to assemble the mess we just cooked. Put some ketchup on the buns, make a pile of patties on top of a pile of coleslaw, tomatoes, celery leaf, and then comes the top bun. Enjoy with fries.

Alternatively, serve patty with salad, coleslaw, and fries. Again, there are no boundaries to make combinations.

How Long does it take to Air fry the Patties in an Air Fryer?

Follow these directions to get a perfectly cooked chicken patty.

  • Step 1: heat the air fryer at 360 F for 4-5 minutes. This will prevent the patty from getting stuck with the tray when you put the patty on it if it’s not preheated.
  • Step2: Put the patties in the tray and set the time from 10-12 minutes. It depends upon the quality and efficiency of the air fryer. Just give a quick splash of oil as a precautionary measure.
  • Step3: flip the sides when halftime passes.
  • Step4: Before taking them out, do check the temperature of the center of the party. It should be around 165 F. Once you are satisfied that patties are ready, take them out of the air fryer.

How to make Frozen Patties?

Yes! Patties can be frozen, and frozen patties can be air-fried when needed. All you have to do is to make sure that you properly freeze them. Or, if you are using ready-made frozen patties available in the market, the process remains the same.

You know! You can store uncooked patties for up to 3 months without getting them to lose their taste. So every time you crave a burger, you can have it within minutes at home with ease. After that, it’s up to you if you want to store with or with coating. Make sure to pack them in an air-tight sealing bag. This will prevent them from getting icy. SO whenever you put them in an air fryer, give them some extra time to cook because they will thaw first, and then the actual cooking process will start.

So the whole point of helping you out with making chicken patties in an air fryer is just to let you know there is nothing your air fryer can cook. You need to follow the directions. Also, if you spend some time searching and analyzing the competency and efficiency of air fryers, you can get better results.
