How To Make Bread Crumbs In Air Fryer Easily

Are you curious about how to easily create breadcrumbs using an air fryer? We have everything you need to know! In today’s guide to making fresh breadcrumbs at home, we’ll show you how to prepare your own whole wheat breadcrumbs. Finding whole wheat breadcrumbs can be a challenge, and when you do, they often come with a hefty price tag. I’ll share the technique I use for crafting my breadcrumbs at home. Making breadcrumbs with your air fryer is not only quick and convenient but also readily available for immediate use whenever necessary!

How To Make Bread Crumbs In Air Fryer

It took me about 20 minutes total to make these homemade bread crumbs, while I was making another recipe. There is no limit to what you can use – fresh bread, stale (but not moldy) bread, leftover bread, gluten-free bread – you get the idea. What is the bottom line? This is easy!

Breadcrumbs can be made with the following ingredients:

Note: Three and a half cups of breadcrumbs were made from seven large slices of bread.

You can use any bread you desire. I used Dave’s Killer Whole Wheat bread.

How to Make Bread Crumbs In Your Air Fryer:

  1. In your oven, toast your bread in a single layer on a baking sheet or sheet pan. It was the perfect golden brown color after 7 minutes on my Ninja Foodi’s air crisp setting.
  2. Make sure your bread is dry and break it apart into smaller pieces. The food processor works better with dry bread.
  3. Process your bread until it is the size you desire in a food processor.

Whenever I make crumbs, I love them fine because they adhere to my recipes better. Even though I don’t use breading for food a lot, I am picky when I do.

Are There Any Alternatives To A Food Processor For Making Breadcrumbs?

If you plan to blend the toasted bread in small batches, I recommend using a good blender. It might be a little messy, but you can definitely do it with a cheese grater or a chopper! Using anything other than a food processor, you will want to make sure your bread is very dry and toasted well before making breadcrumbs.

Here Are Some Tips For Storing Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs should be stored in the fridge after reaching room temperature. Despite the lack of preservatives, dry breadcrumbs can still get moldy in the pantry. Whenever I make them I prefer to do this in small batches so there is no waste, and since it’s easy to make and quick there’s no problem making them every time I need them.

The Following Are The Steps For Making Italian Breadcrumbs:

Seasonings are my favorite part of these! You can add this to almost any dish and make it taste better. You can make your own Italian breadcrumbs using 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning and 2 1/2 teaspoons of parsley, 1 1/2 teaspoon basil, 1 1/2 teaspoon oregano, 1 teaspoon thyme, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder combined with your breadcrumbs.

Getting Breadcrumbs To Stick:

Although I admit that baking with breadcrumbs can sometimes be tricky, I found they didn’t stick to my foods very well. To make breadcrumbs stick more easily, I’ve found that dipping your food into an egg mixture before you dip it in the breadcrumbs is the easiest way. A fork and an egg are my favorite tools for scrambling.

People have been known to double-dip their food if they have stubborn breadcrumbs – dip in egg, breadcrumbs, then egg and breadcrumbs again. This is an idea that I have never had to do, but it’s good to know.
