Some good options are Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts, Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries, or Classic Air Fried French Fries.

Ingredients Needed for The Perfect Turkey Burger

These burger patties are pretty easy to whip up. You literally only need four ingredients. Of course, you are free to add additional spices, or seasonings to get the flavor you prefer. Let’s explore the basic ingredients you will need.

Ground Turkey

The main and most obvious ingredient is ground turkey. You can generally find ground turkey in the grocery store and next to the ground beef or pork. For the purposes of the recipes featured here, ground turkey can be substituted for ground chicken.

Garlic

You are free to use whatever aromatics you like in your burgers but adding a few cloves of garlic will elevate the general taste of your turkey patties. Simply mince your cloves finely or even blend them before adding to your grounded meat.

Salt, Pepper & Other Seasoning

No one wants to eat a bland burger. It is therefore vital that you season your burger meat before forming your patties. You are free to use any seasoning you want here. But remember you can always add more seasoning. You can not remove it after it’s been added. So, do a taste test on the burger before going crazy on your seasoning.

To do a taste test simply create a tiny burger ball and set it to cook in the microwave. This will also give you a sense of what your finished burger will taste like.

Worcestershire Sauce

Consider adding a dash of Worcestershire sauce to add a bit of Umami taste to your burger.

  • Zesty Burger Sauce:
  • BBQ sauce (2 tbsp.)
  • Mayonnaise (2 tbsp.)
  • Paprika (¼ tsp., ground)
  • Black pepper (1/4 tsp., ground)

Directions:

Set your air fryer to pre-heat to 390 degrees F. Tip: Add a few spoons of water to your air fryer to help prevent drippings from sticking and burning. Flip, then continue to air fry until crispy (about another 4 minutes).  Next, add your BBQ sauce, onion, and Turkey to a large bowl then season with salt and pepper. Massage the mix with your hands then form it into 2 even patties. Place your patties into your fryer basket, then set to air fry at 370 degrees F until cooked to your preferred doneness (about 20 minutes, flipping halfway through for well done).

Tip: Tweak your cooking time based on your preferred level of doneness. Twenty minutes will result in a juicy well-done patty.

Now, let’s make our sauce by combing all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Open your fryer with 5 minutes remaining and top your patties with cheese then leave to melt. When the burgers are cooked to your liking, top each patty with a slice of Colby Jack cheese and air-fry for an additional minute, just to melt the cheese.
