How Long Do You Cook Frozen Jalapeno Poppers In An Air Fryer To Get Them Perfect

Ever pondered the ideal cooking time for frozen jalapeno poppers in an air fryer to achieve perfection? You’re in the right place, as this article has all the information you need. Utilizing an air fryer to whip up these delicious and simple snack poppers couldn’t be easier! With just a handful of steps, you’ll be able to prepare mouthwatering air fryer-style jalapeno poppers that strike the perfect balance between sweet and spicy. Prepare for perfection in just six minutes! They come out slightly crispy on the outside and wonderfully melted on the inside. Absolute tastiness!

About one year after buying our air fryer, I can report back that it has become a mainstay of our cooking routine. It is not uncommon for us to use the air fryer more than once in the same day! In fact, just today I made lunch (air fryer chicken nuggets) before jumping into this post. I then made air fryer kale chips for my lunch to go along with it.

What are your thoughts on air fryers? After resisting for a couple years, we finally bought an air fryer. I did not feel like taking up any more counter space on our counters for one more cooking apparatus since we have SO many others already. The food processor, the coffee maker, the instant pot, and the slow cooker. Was it really necessary to add another machine? It’s funny. The answer is yes. It was absolutely necessary. And I am elated that we did!

Frozen Food is Cooked Evenly and Perfectly in Air Fryers!

You’re going to love today’s air fryer recipe and the best part?…it’s healthy! Frozen treats are always a favorite. I used to think posting a recipe for frozen food air fryers (er, the cooking time I guess) was a silly thing to do… After all, it’s just pre-made food that needs to be reheated, right? No, and yes. Cooking frozen apps in an air fryer can be tricky. Just getting the right temperature and time takes a little experimentation. It was helpful for me to figure it out myself, so I thought I’d share it with others.

An amazing aspect of the air fryer and frozen food is that it emulates a consistency that is perfect for baking (and deep frying if you’re breading your food).

Jalapeno Poppers Are A Great Appetizer Or Snack When Fried In The Air Fryer

Air fryers are perfect for making poppers. This easy and delicious snack is warm on the inside and crispy on the outside (similar to deep frying). It is not uncommon for us to enjoy a frozen appetizer dinner. It’s that good!

I’ve picked up these ALDI Poppers from ALDI, which are delicious for parties. I cook up a bunch of new apps and keep them warm through the evening in one of those buffet servers. Your air fryer will work with any frozen poppers you choose.

Healthy Cooking Options with the Air Fryer

My mom gave my father a deep fryer many years ago. There was a huge demand for countertop deep fryers back then. This little contraption would make it easy for you to deep fry all the things you want. In spite of the years, I still remember the food he cooked, from tater tots, french fries, to chicken nuggets and wings.

It also smelled like oil (and it made me feel like we were living in a pig pen) for days after the last fried meal. When you combine the smell of an air fryer with the knowledge that oil-cooked food isn’t the healthiest, you have just another reason to love and appreciate the air fryer.

The Air Fryer May Not Always Be Faster Than A Conventional Oven

I’m constantly surprised that my friends and family are not able to speed up the cooking process with their new air fryer. People claim that since air fryers are so convenient, they must also save them time like the instant pot/pressure cooker does. You will not necessarily cook your food faster with an air fryer. Several foods are cooked better with it, in my opinion. By locking in moisture, it creates a crisp exterior and juicy interior. Some recipes will cook in half the time it would in an oven while others will take the same time to fully cook. Cooking food in an air fryer is also consistent every time.

At first, we bought a small air fryer, but after a year, we upgraded to a larger one. An average week includes using an air fryer four out of seven days, sometimes even more than once a day. We are able to make healthy meals without sacrificing taste with the air fryer. (Actually, I am willing to bet that our meals are even tastier now thanks to the consistently crispy cooking results we achieve with the air fryer.) If that is not an incentive to get your own air fryer, I don’t know what is.

These frozen meals require no preparation, as do many other frozen applications. Let’s make a batch together. It will literally take you around 6 minutes to prepare.

  1. In your air fryer, arrange the frozen poppers in a single layer.
  2. My air fryer oven was set to 390 degrees for six minutes.
  3. The poppers are best cooked until the cheese is bubbling and the top is just beginning to brown. That’s perfection!

Ingredients

jalapeno poppers (6-8 frozen)

Directions

Stack the poppers in the air fryer in one layer.

Cook at 390 F for 6 minutes, until the tops are golden brown. When you bite into the poppers, the cheese should be melted. When the items are cool enough to eat, remove from air fryer and enjoy the flavors of spicy cheese. (Some air fryers cook at varying intensities.) Enjoy while they’re still warm.

Marinara is served on the side with our poppers.

Final Thoughts

The air fryer makes making these quick and easy snack poppers a breeze! In just a few steps, you can make sweet and spicy air fryer topped jalapeno poppers. Just six minutes and you’ve got perfect poppers! The outside is a little crunchy, and the inside is melted. It’s delicious!
