How Long To Cook London Broil In Air Fryer For A Tender, Juicy Bite
Are you wondering about the cooking duration for London Broil in an air fryer? The delicious, succulent taste of London broil is enhanced when prepared in an air fryer. This is because the air fryer’s rapid air circulation applies direct high heat to your London Broil, creating a delightful crispy exterior that is often unattainable with regular home ovens.
You can feed everyone in your family without breaking the bank if you use cheap cuts of meat such as top round, London broil, or flank steak. Whether you’re on a keto or low carb diet, or just looking for an easy family dinner, you can’t go wrong with this meal. Today we are going to show you how to recreate some of our favorite London Broil recipes in the air fryer.
What is London Broil?
The London broil is an inexpensive way to create a complete meal out of a cut of meat. It used to traditionally refer only to flank steak. But now is typically made of lean and tougher cuts of meat like top round which we are using for this air fryer recipe.
Since the London broil is tougher than the top round, it needs to be heated quickly and cooked hot for perfect results. It is marinated to keep it juicy and tender, and then air-fried to perfection. Medium rare for me. Keep cooking for well done or medium-well.
How To Make A Marinade for London broil
A London Broil marinade is crucial for breaking down the medium-rareconnective tissue in this lean meat and infusing it with tons of flavor.
Change up the herbs as you wish (I often double or triple the amount of garlic – you can’t get enough garlic in my opinion) – but keep the amount of oil and vinegar the same.
Changing the kind of oil and vinegar you use is fine, but make sure you use the same amount.
How To Make The Perfect London Broil Marinade

- Sea salt, 2 tsp
- Black pepper, 1 tsp, ground
How To Cook London Broil In Air Fryer
London broil is easy to air fry – but it needs a few tricks to stay juicy, tender, and perfect.
- Make sure you marinate the London broil for 2 hours at least before cooking.
- Use your air fryer at the highest temperature possible – you want it charred on the outside, and cooking it hot and fast will prevent it from drying out.
- It’s okay to accommodate some steak up the sides of an air fryer basket if you have a round basket, but make sure you lay it out on a flat surface instead of bunching it up or folding it over on itself.
- For an even sear, flip the London broil midway through cooking.
How Long to Cook London Broil In Air Fryer
Depending on the size of your top round and how done you want your London broil, crank up your air fryer to its highest setting and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
For medium rare, I air fried my London Broil at 450 degrees for 15 minutes and flipped it halfway through.
The perfect temperature for a London broil is found by using a digital thermometer rather than by measuring the cooking time.
An internal temperature of 135 degrees should be recorded for a medium-rare London broil and 145 degrees for a medium-well done London broil.
