Things you will need
- 1 piece of tofu
- 1 cup wheat gluten
- 2 -3 tspn chicken flavored powder or seasoning
- 1 tspn garlic powder
- 1-2 tspns onion powder
- 1/2 tspn sage
- 1/2 tspn rosemary
- 2 tspns liquid smoke
- 2 tbspns corn starch
- 1/4 cup yeast
- 2 tbspn cooking oil
- 1/2 to 3/4 cups water
- 1 tspn salt
For the Coating
- 3 cups panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1 tspn garlic powder
- 1 tspn onion powder
- 1 tbspn yeast
- 1 tspn salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup unsweetened plant milk
First you have to break the tofu and put in a food processor. Let it break down in the food processor for a few minutes. After it breaks down then add all the remaining ingredients in the food processor and let it mix. Until it forms smooth dough, you have to keep mixing for around 5-7 minutes so that you have dough that you can mould in any shape.
Take it out from the processor and then knead it with hands for two minutes. Roll in into a rectangle shape and with the help of cookie maker cut the nuggets in different shapes as you like. After that you have to prepare the wet mixture and panko bread crumbs mixture. Dip the nuggets in the wet mixture first and then toss them in the dry mixture. Coat the nuggets evenly so that they get an even color and crisp.

Air frying vegan chicken nuggets is very easy; you just have to place the nuggets evenly in the basket. Spray oil on it and air fry the nuggets at 375 degrees for about 10-12 minutes.
